What We Believe

HEBREWS 11: 1- 3

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

What We Believe

We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, an extension of Christ's life and ministry in our world.

We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a life which embodies love of God and neighbor.

We believe in sharing the Christian sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion as practiced by Christian believers throughout the world.

Faith Is A Verb

The New Testament tells us: In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

James 2:17 NIV.

One of Jesus’ first disciples, Peter, even though his faith initially waivered, was able to walk on water when he heard Jesus say: ‘Come!’ But that faith did not come alive until he got out of the boat. We must put our beliefs into action in order to grow in Christ.
